On Cooking
I love to cook and have always experimented in the kitchen. I’ve collected cookbooks since I was a teenager, my dates knew I loved to cook and always gave me cookbooks reflecting their ethnic culture so I could cook foods they liked. When I was single, I learned to cook Greek, Jewish, and Italian food for my boyfriends. The first book about food I purchased at 16 was, “The Epicurean’s Dictionary of Gastronomy.” I remember cooking for my family and adding blue food coloring to the instant mashed potatoes my mother was serving. I can tell you, color does affect taste! Certainly, my cooking has improved since then! I am a total foodie and love watching cooking shows. I often write down the recipes to try when the mood strikes. I hope you enjoy my culinary explorations (as evidenced by my photos) enough to try one of the recipes for yourself. Manja!
